Debating is the best way to negotiate !!!

Is this the end or are there more to come?

August5

Yes, serial blast again rock the cities, they have again targeted the headlines of the newspaper and the breaking news topic on almost all the Television channels. Two back-to-back plots in Bangalore and Ahmedabad have once again multiplied the fear factor and heightened security all over India. How do we coin these unabated blows? Is it a consequence of communal politics or just another serial blasts planned sophisticatedly. Explosions, bloodshed, pain, misery, killing, moaning of lives has become the agenda of today. These brutal minds have claimed innocent lives and not even spared the hospitals this time. They have effectively made lives despondent for many. Can you imagine how horrifying the scene must have been when injured from the first site were being taken for treatment to the trauma center where the second bomb exploded.

It is definitely not the beginning unit in the series of serial bombings. The indelible scar left after the coordinated terror plots on the suburban trains in Maharashtra still leaves the witnessers traumatized. These unprecedented senseless killings leave no good rather than aggravating communal conflicts. We can estimate the number of deaths but can we approximate the lifelong pain and fear caused by these orchestrated blasts? Come on let’s be genuine and accept the grim reality that even if we want we can’t subside their anguish, but mourn for the souls of those who were unfortunately a part of this deadly plan.

The Indian government, intelligence agencies, State government of Gujarat and the State Police have been acknowledge as colossal failure. A day after the Bangalore blasts, Ahmedabad was hit by similar blasts, now what do we call this, inefficiency, a casual approach by the State Police, whose cops are just busy in security of political matters, controlling dharnas and demonstrations. Well, without any delay lets accept the stark facts that our security forces are not trained enough to secure us. India is prone to more attacks, claiming more lives. Our ministers, our caretakers, are busy putting bribery allegations and after such evil attacks they start playing the blame game. Yes, they definitely play their other role substantially well by raising more funds for better training of the security forces. But eventually this money lands up in the Lok Sabha where parties are busy in the inculpation game.

I personally feel that time to take charge has come. If the security guards are not carrying their duties up to the mark, isn’t it an obligation on our part to ring a bell. But we, the public instead of assisting the security agencies want to escape the inconvenience caused due to strict dealings. The dire need of the hour is to team up with the security agencies in combating terrorism. If they feel hassle-free at some point of time, we got to step in, so that they become conscious of the reality that our nation is still jeopardized. A simple move like going and asking a cop to check an abandoned bicycle bearing a tiffin-box can stir up the cop, who was not even bothered to see the bicycle lying deserted ever since. We don’t take note of such petty things but this lack of wakefulness can dish up as keynote in the opponent’s planning.

These deadly blasts are a wake up call for the Youth of India. Let’s unite and not allow the charts and the planning’s systematized by the anti-social elements to be a triumph. This write-up has been structured after going through the editorial of Times Of India and Hindustan Times but it is undeniably the voice of India.

No doubt it’s a beautifully written article, but I would like to affix one more point to it. Did we ever think why people develop this kind of a perception that they actually land up doing these terrorist activities. The basic cause lies with the education that a child gets in his/her childhood. So another remedy could be inculcating right values in our children; not only our children, but poor toddlers in our neighborhood who can easily fall prey to terrorist brainwashing activities.

Apart from this, I read an article which said that LPG Gas cylinders which were produces in 1990’s are still in use i.e. used beyond their expiry dates. These Cylinders should be destroyed properly as they can be easily used as bombs. Such activities should be controlled both by the public & the government bodies.

Let’s hope for a better future. And I pay my homage to those friends who are now not with us.

Nicely written article. I had read an article relating to this and would like to add points from that. It gave another viewpoint for the possible cause of the blasts. The Article heading read as
” Are These Attacks Aimed At Indian Polls?”
In June, US Republican candidate John McCain’s adviser, Charlie Black, invited a lot of comment when he said that a terrorist attack before the November US presidential elections could help the Republican party.
With the string of terror attacks spattering blood all over India, particularly in BJP-ruled states, a similar question is raising its head: are Islamist jihadis making themselves a part of the election discourse in India, just as they have attempted in other parts of the world.
After 9/11, Al Qaeda terror attacks in countries have shown to influence elections, not always the way the terrorists would like it to be. On March 11, 2004, Madrid’s urban rapid transit system was rocked by bomb attacks just three days before their elections.
In 2004, months before the US presidential elections, the fear of a terror attack on US soil to influence the elections was paramount. The New York Times also reported on the possibility that Al Qaeda would try to “influence the outcome of the election” by striking US oil refineries.
There are many other such cases, like Italy, in April 2006, was facing elections under Silvio Berlusconi was threatened by terror attacks and even a video by Al Qaeda No.2, Ayman al Zawahiri. The then Italian vice president of the European Commission, Franco Frattini, warned that “Al-Qaeda is ready to strike…and Italy is at risk because of its solid alliance with the US.”
The terror attacks in India over the last few months have been in BJP-ruled states: Rajasthan, Karnataka and Gujarat. Increased terrorist activity in J&K could also be linked to the coming elections there. With state elections coming up in some of these states in November as well as general elections a little later, if not around the same time, it is possible that terror attacks could be used to influence a future government’s policy or even India’s foreign policy.

Another perspective given by Sohit is well supported by me. But only thing we cannot say at present is whether it’s the political parties that are planning these low-intensity bomb blasts or is it the terrorist groups.

These days what we are seeing is a modern face of terror. They no longer aim at killing 10-20 people, they no longer want just one blast, they are now ruled by managerial brains that plan a serial cracker to perfection, they aim at rocking the foundations of our economy, they aim at exploiting the differences between political parties. These people have grown with time & will keep growing.

All we can do is just move faster than them to win a race for a peaceful world.
